The 2027 timetable is out, and next year is almost here. We shared the full picture in our 2027 preview email, so here’s the short version all in one place, plus a few dates to note before the year wraps up!

2027, all in one place!

The timetable is out now

The 2027 timetable is live, and your enrolment is ready to view in the parent portal. Every current gymnast has been automatically re-enrolled on the same day they attend now, in the level they’ve been allocated. Class times may have shifted slightly, so please log in and check.

If your gymnast is in EduGym Gold, check extra carefully, because some Gold classes have moved to an earlier timeslot.

Changing days or not returning?

Please submit any transfer or drop requests through the portal by Tuesday 1 December. If we don’t hear from you, your enrolment will carry into 2027 and January fees will be charged. Enrolments are now open to the public and some classes are already full, so if you’re thinking about a change, sooner is better.

A transformed gym

We’re transforming the gym over the summer break, and it will be ready for the first class of 2027.

  • Viewing moves upstairs. Floor-to-ceiling glass across the end wall will give you a clear view over the whole gym. A new window from the downstairs foyer will also look into the new front zone.

  • Downstairs becomes gym space. We’re going from three rotation zones to six, which means more space and more equipment for every class. Foundation, Bronze and Silver classes will cover three zones one week and the other three the next, so every gymnast works through every zone across the fortnight.

  • New equipment. We’re adding a second set of uneven bars, a new front zone with two single bars, a permanent vault table and floor space, an extended trampoline platform, and more boxes, wedges and training aids.

JuniorGym: Explorers and Adventurers

JuniorGym 2/3 and 4/5 are being replaced by two new classes. JuniorGym Explorers are assisted classes, with a grown-up joining in. JuniorGym Adventurers are independent classes. Children move up to Adventurers when they’re ready, not when they reach a certain birthday.

Seeing your gymnast’s progress

From 2027, we’ll assess and record every gymnast’s progress during check-in weeks each term, and you’ll be able to see it in the portal. JuniorGym gymnasts are assessed on developmental milestones. EduGym gymnasts are assessed on their skills and progressions across vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline and physical preparation. These assessments aren’t meant to be scary. They’re a great starting point for a conversation about how your gymnast is going.

Introducing EduGym Carnivals

EduGym Carnivals are our own in-house competitions, open to all EduGym gymnasts from Foundation through to Platinum. They’re optional, but we’d love everyone to give them a go. Gymnasts perform routines they’ve learnt in class and work towards a banded all-around medal, so they can see their own improvement across the year. Many will start with a bronze and work their way up. It’s Progress Beats Perfection, in action. We’re planning three or four carnivals, and we’ll share dates in the new year.

New class: EduGym Open

EduGym Open puts gymnasts in the driver’s seat. Rather than following a set curriculum, each gymnast works with their class coach to set their own skill goals, then trains towards them across the term. It’s designed with our older gymnasts in mind, and it’s where we expect most of our teenagers to find their home in 2027. It’s also a great starting point for kids aged 10 and over who are new to gymnastics. If it sounds like a good fit for your gymnast, check the timetable and submit a transfer request through the portal.

A first for Westside: Anna takes Victorian Vault silver!

Congratulations to Anna from the Westside Squad, who won silver on vault at the AGC Victorian Championships - the first state-level medal in Westside’s history!

Anna trains six hours a week. That’s worth saying out loud, because it’s a long way from the volume you’d normally expect behind a state podium.

It happened through consistency, good habits and a lot of showing up, which is more or less our Core Values in action.

We’re enormously proud of her. Well done, Anna!

A Few Housekeeping Reminders

Make-Up Tokens - Know you'll be away? Notify us via the Customer Portal at least 1 hour before your scheduled class to receive a make-up token - it's the easiest way to make sure nothing gets missed. QR codes around the gym (and our website) link to a step-by-step guide if you need one.

Parking - A reminder that street parking on Carrington Drive is available on the western side only (opposite the gym). Please avoid parking across neighbouring driveways or car parks. Full details on our Contact page

See you in the gym!
